Welcome to German speaking Switzerland. In this issue  we visit: Schaffhausen- the HB, the town  and the amazing Rheinfall series of waterfalls above which pass international trains - freight and passenger - to and from Germany.  Zürich HB,  Zürich Flughafen and the wonderful Stadelhofen suburban station desined by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava (also responsible for Oriente in Portugal and the new Liège station in Belgium.)  Onward for a look at freight facilities in the city: Limmattal yard and a visit to white goods manufacturer Miele and their purpose built facility nearby. Spreitenbach has a three level junction that funnels trains from the north into the Zürich area, these include German ICEs and French TGVs plus, naturally, Swiss domestic trains . At St Gallen we watch international trains on their way to Munich and Vienna before following trains alongside the Zürichsee. South of Zürich we skirt more lakes to reach Zug and Luzern, a busy holiday centre. The main station has been rebuilt to accommodate the SBB and local metre gauge trains that utilise mixed gauge track down to the buffers! RT 80 mins
