Our Danish crew pilot their new charge north from Nĉstved to the junction station at Ringsted. Suddenly the rural railway changes into a modern international multi track main line. From Ringsted to Copenhagen we are constantly passing trains: ICs to Ċrhus and Odense, commuter trains of different shapes and sizes and freight as it takes the long way round to Hamburg via the Jutland peninsula. For the last 15km we follow the S-Tog - the Danish S-Bahn- for a headlong high speed dash into the capital where we arrive on time in bright sunshine. RT 55 mins
