There is something very special about rivers that have become major transport arteries and this is true of the Mosel. That the area has managed to retain its considerable beauty makes the Mosel very special indeed! Ancient castles stand sentinel over the river and the railway below, while spectacular bridges allow the railway to take short cuts that would take nature centuries.  We view the river from land and water, thank you KD Line, and take you to tourist ‘must do’ spots and places and sample the wines!  We start at Koblenz with some spectacular shots over the river and the rail lines below and then cruise to Cochem. Lots for everyone here as we follow the Moselbahn for most of the way. Trains to your right, castles to your left! Sit back with a glass of crisp dry Riesling and enjoy the experience with us. Beyond Cochem we visit Bullay and its “Umwelt Bahnhof”! We take you to a restaurant between Bullay and Pünderich where there are spectacular views of the railway and river before continuing to Traben-Trarbach by TransRegio. The section of river from Traben to Trier contains some of the best-known wines of the region such as Bernkastel and you can visit them with us. We conclude at Trier; the city that is home to the Roman Porta Nigra. RT 80 mins
